HydroVox V1 by CIFIKA
Live Performance with AI Generative Visual for 'Nothing Makes Itself' Festival @ Arko Museum of Art, Seoul

"HydroVox" is the first chapter of CIFIKA's project on celestial travel and deep-sea immersion. Performed live at Arko Museum of Art as part of the 'Nothing Makes Itself' festival, the piece placed CIFIKA inside a clear cylindrical water tank — the 'HydroVox' — engineered by Alex Griff (Loksu) of OpLab as a portal for trans-territorial voyages. Inside it, she inhabited the space as a transparent, jellyfish-like presence.

Jaeyoung Shin (OpLab) handled the visual system. Over 2,000 deep-sea creatures were generated with StyleGAN2 + ADA and displayed on two cylindrical screens flanking the tank. A TouchDesigner patch made them react to CIFIKA's voice in real time — her vocals feeding the digital ecosystem like an energy source.
